River City Truck Parts • April 29, 2021

Tim has been part of the River City team for over 4 years. Tim’s current role is receiving manager and he also contributes to overall inventory management and logistics.  He has become a valued team member as River City’s large inventory of parts continues to grow.

Derek McWhorter (President), says – “Tim is a pleasure to work with and he maintains a positive growth attitude.  Having him on our team is a tremendous benefit.  When it comes to implementing change and improving our inventory systems, Tim is always up for the challenge.  He is passionate about making sure our customers and vendors are properly taken care of.”

Here are some questions that we asked Tim:

What do you like most about your current role with River City Truck Parts?

Managing the receiving of inventory keeps me on my toes and is never boring.  Because of the complexity of our industry I am always learning something new in order to keep up the latest part requirements. I like the challenge of staying on top of the industry standards.  I also enjoy working with heavy duty truck parts.  Working on motors of all types has always be a passion of mine.

What do you like about the River City Truck Parts leadership?

I like working for a family owned and operated company.  The leadership truly cares about the team and treat us like family. They inspire me to work hard and to go “the extra mile” when managing inventory and serving customers.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

Staying on top of the heavy-duty truck parts industry standards is very challenging.  I could literally work 24/7. Therefore, properly managing and prioritizing my time is very important and not always easy to do.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?

I like spending time with my son. We love riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. I also like working on motors and spending time in the outdoors.

Are you originally from the Louisville, Kentucky area?

Yes, I have lived in the Louisville area all my life.
