Mid-America Trucking Show Celebrates 50th Anniversary

MATS began in 1972 when Paul K. Young, former Kentucky Motor Transport Association President, and a few industry friends had an idea to develop a show in the eastern half of the United States. Their goal was to create an event that was more accessible to professionals in the heavy-duty trucking industry, specifically owner-operators and fleets. Their idea and hard work laid the foundation for what would become the largest heavy-duty trucking tradeshow in the world.

Since the beginning their goal remains to bring the entire industry together for the largest and most comprehensive, face-to-face event in trucking. Over the years MATS has been an intricate part of the trucking industry with thousands of stories people making industry connections and lasting friendships.

During the week of the show, we (River City Truck Parts) are planning to have an open house event and we’ll be providing more details as we near the event date. If you plan to attend the show and you would like to visit our Louisville facility, contact us  to make arrangements.
