On Thursday April 13th we had our annual REMAN DAY event at our facility. Our team event included celebrating REMAN DAY and taking pride in how we play a role in the remanufacturing of heavy duty truck parts across the world. Derek McWhorter (President) presented and discussed all the positive environmental impact that remanufacturing has on the transportation industry and our planet.
“Our core mission is to “Keep trucks moving throughout the world.” and it feels good to know that we do this in a very sustainable manner.” – Daniel McWhorter (Vice President)

Also last week we celebrated Earth Day by presenting the environmental benefits and career opportunities in the remanufacturing industry to the Automotive students at the Bullitt Count Area Technology Center.
Remanufacturing Defined:
Simply put remanufacturing is “the rebuilding of a product to specifications of the original manufactured product using a combination of reused, repaired and new parts“. It requires the repair or replacement of worn out or obsolete components and modules.
Here are some of the benefits of remanufacturing:
Remanufacturing requires fewer raw materials, consumes less energy, and produces less waste than manufacturing a product from scratch. The consequent savings in each of these areas are significant, and most often result in a product of comparable quality that costs less for both the remanufacturer and the consumer.

Remanufacturing helps the environment in several different ways, including:
- Energy conservation.
- Raw material conservation.
- Landfill space conservation.
- Air pollution reduction.
- Increased fuel economy.
We are proud to be a part of the remanufacturing industry and we are here to help with all your heavy-duty truck part needs. Feel free to contact us to talk with one of our parts specialists.
